It is safe to assume that it would be difficult for an individual to consider situations in the world, or even in their community, and feel that “all is well”.  In fact, most individuals would readily admit that there are many problems in the world around us and that something must be done to solve these problems.  However, few individuals actually know what can be done about these problems—or even if anything can be done about these problems.  This is where The Way to Happiness comes in.

The Way to Happiness is a non-religious moral code that is based entirely on common sense.  With twenty-one easy-to-understand and apply precepts, individuals can be empowered to improve their own lives, as well as the lives of others around them.  These twenty-one precepts include: Take Care of Yourself, Be Temperate, Don’t Be Promiscuous, Love and Help Children, Honor and Help Your Parents, Set a Good Example, Seek to Live With the Truth, Do Not Murder, Don’t Do Anything Illegal, Support a Government Designed and Run for All the People, Do Not Harm a Person of Good Will, Safeguard and Improve Your Environment, Do Not Steal, Be Worthy of Trust, Fulfill Your Obligations, Be Industrious, Be Competent, Respect the Religious Beliefs of Others, Try Not to Do Things to Others That You Would Not Like Them to Do to You, Try to Treat Others The Way You Would Like to Be Treated, and Flourish and Prosper.  Individuals who have been introduced to The Way to Happiness sometimes feel that where they were once hopeless about the terrible conditions around them, they now realize that there are solutions available through the application of these precepts, and that while they are simple, they are also quite powerful.  It is the introduction of these precepts to others, then, that becomes of utmost importance, as Lecturer Jesus Martinez well understands.

Bringing Hope

On October 21st, 2015, Lecturer Jesus Martinez spoke with a group of individuals about the path to true happiness and prosperity in life.  The members of the audience were requested to give real-life examples of the application of different precepts from The Way to Happiness, and they quickly came to realize that the solutions to many of the problems they encountered regularly in their lives lay in the application of these precepts.  One individual even remarked that he suddenly recognized that the reason he had yet to attain the happiness he truly desired was because he was failing to apply some of the basic precepts that guide one to a happier life.  Now, thanks to The Way to Happiness, he feels he has the tools he needs in order to change, improve and help his environment, which he is certain will make him feel like a better and happier person.
